Agreement on Workforce Development with Paejae University and Honam University
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju University (President Kim Dongjin) is focusing on nurturing experts in multicultural society.
On the 29th, Gwangju University announced that it has signed a business agreement with Paichai University and Honam University to join forces in training specialized personnel.
The agreement ceremony held at Paichai University was attended by Professor Kim Yoonhee, Convergence Major in Multicultural Society Expert at Gwangju University, Professor Park Seokjun of the Korean Language and Literature and Korean Language Education Department at Paichai University, and Professor Kang Hyunju of the Glocal Multicultural Studies Convergence Major at Honam University.
Each university plans to jointly conduct various curricula and extracurricular programs to train specialized personnel in multicultural society in the Gwangju-Jeonnam region and the Chungcheong region.
They also intend to cooperate in sharing educational content, exchanging students and faculty, conducting joint research in the multicultural field, and organizing academic conferences.
At the regional network steering committee held earlier, a discussion was held on extracurricular programs collaboratively conducted by universities and multicultural institutions, with participation from Lee Sujin, team leader of the Daejeon Jung-gu Multicultural Family Support Center, and Jeon Hyunsook, secretary of the International Science and Technology Volunteer Group.
Professor Kim Yoonhee said, “We plan to actively cooperate by sharing various educational contents promoted by each university,” and added, “We will do our best to nurture talents needed for a multicultural society.”
