[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Yeongyang County, Gyeongbuk Province, received the Grand Prize at the ‘2022 Gyeongsangbuk-do Civil Service Administration Performance Evaluation’ award ceremony held on the 29th at Dongnak Hall, Gyeongbuk Provincial Office.
The annual Gyeongbuk Province Civil Service Administration Performance Evaluation is linked with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s comprehensive civil service evaluation and assesses seven categories including improvements in civil service systems and services. Yeongyang County achieved excellent results across the board.
In particular, Yeongyang County received high praise for implementing unique special policies that differentiate it from other cities and counties to improve civil service satisfaction, such as operating the nation’s first ‘24-hour AI (Artificial Intelligence) Call Secretary Service’ and installing a ‘Civil Service Temperature Tower’ to enhance satisfaction with the National Petition Service.
The county is also making efforts to provide civil service to socially vulnerable groups by placing large-print books in the civil service office, operating parking guidance lines at the county office building, and providing assistance bells for the disabled.
County Governor Oh Do-chang said, “We will continue to actively develop innovative civil service policies to establish a convenient and prompt civil service system and create a civil service office where both citizens and public officials can be happy.”
