[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The Gyeongnam Office of Education received the 'Very Excellent' rating for the eighth consecutive year in the 2022 information protection level diagnosis evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Education for city and provincial offices of education.

On the 27th, the provincial office of education announced that it received 'Very Excellent' in 10 out of 11 areas, including ▲cyber crisis management ▲information asset security management and risk management disaster recovery ▲personal information protection management system in this evaluation.

According to the provincial office of education, the Ministry of Education evaluates information security and personal information protection activities annually to improve the information protection level of city and provincial offices of education.

They evaluate eight areas of information security such as information security policy and information asset security management, and three areas of personal information protection such as management system establishment and operation.

The provincial office of education explained that it has strengthened information protection measures through strengthening the information protection management system, improving the performance of the integrated security control center system, and securing professional personnel.

They also stated that they simultaneously carried out school work and information security and personal information protection activities, such as expanding customized school field support, omitting cyber security diagnosis logs and internal reports, and producing and distributing educational videos.
