Awarding Certificates of Merit to Distinguished Contributors

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Ha Seongcheon, an advisory member of the Democratic Peaceful Unification Advisory Council Gwangju Nam-gu Council, was recognized for his contributions.

Ha received a commendation for his contributions at the 2022 Activity Evaluation Meeting and Commendation Ceremony held by the Gwangju Regional Council of the Democratic Peaceful Unification Advisory Council on the 23rd.

He was highly praised for his efforts in forming public opinion in the local community for peaceful unification, cooperating with civic groups, and spreading consensus to establish a foundation for peaceful unification.

He also received a commendation from the Vice Chairman of the Democratic Peaceful Unification Advisory Council and has been actively involved in local community activities such as politics and the environment.

He has served as Vice Chairman of the Gwangju Dongnam-gap Regional Committee of the Democratic Party of Korea, an operating committee member of the Roh Moo-hyun Foundation Gwangju Regional Committee, a director of the Citizens' Life and Environment Council, and a member of the Bongseon 1-dong Community Security Council.

Ha said, "Going forward, I will strive to expand the consensus on peaceful unification among civic organizations, local residents, especially the younger generation, to achieve denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and establish a foundation for peaceful unification, and serve the local community as a member of the region."
