[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Kyung-jun] Former Seongnam Urban Development Corporation Planning Director Yoo Dong-gyu actively refuted the denial by Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party preparing for the presidential election, of his claim that he introduced Democratic Party lawmaker Yoon Gun-young to Lee, saying, "I don't know if they have a conscience."

After the trial for violation of the Political Funds Act held at the Seoul Central District Court on the 23rd, former Director Yoo told reporters this.

Former Director Yoo said, "It's so ridiculous. I really don't know if they have even a little conscience, but putting conscience aside, this is something I experienced, so I can explain it in great detail," adding, "If it happens again, I will tell you exactly how, where, and how many times I met them."

He continued, "If they keep lying, I will make sure to clarify the truth once and for all."

Former Director Yoo claims that he introduced lawmaker Yoon to Lee, who was preparing for last year's presidential election. Around January last year, at the Gyeonggi Province Governor's office, lawmaker Yoon reportedly told Lee, "It won't be easy to select people once you enter the Blue House, so prepare by selecting them in advance at the campaign," and accordingly, outside the election campaign, Yoo began scouting talents, including reviewing candidates for the Minister of National Defense.

However, Lee's side drew a clear line, stating that it was merely former Director Yoo's claim.
