Air Premia Launches New Incheon~Narita Route

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Air Premia, Korea's first hybrid airline, announced on the 23rd that it will officially operate the Incheon~Narita route.

Air Premia operates the Incheon~Narita route four times a week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

On Mondays and Sundays, flights depart from Incheon International Airport at 8:30 AM and arrive at Narita Airport at 11:30 AM. From Narita Airport, flights depart at 12:40 PM on Monday and arrive at Incheon International Airport at 3:10 PM, while on Sunday, flights depart at the same time and arrive at Incheon International Airport at 2:50 PM.

On Wednesdays and Fridays, flights depart from Incheon International Airport at 8:00 AM and arrive at Narita Airport at 10:40 AM. About an hour later, at 11:50 AM, flights depart from Narita Airport and arrive at Incheon International Airport at 2:20 PM.

The Incheon~Narita route has high demand, with a load factor reaching 98% this month. It is expected to maintain a similar level in January 2023. Air Premia, which offers premium services at reasonable prices, provides in-flight meals in premium economy seats and light snacks in regular economy seats, despite the Incheon~Narita route being a short-haul flight.

The light snacks are provided through a brand collaboration with OPS and Poongnyun Confectionery, which have recently gained popularity among the MZ generation. Flights departing from Incheon International Airport to Narita Airport will offer OPS’s ‘Hakwonjeon,’ while flights departing from Narita Airport to Incheon International Airport will provide Poongnyun Confectionery’s ‘Choco Pie.’

Geum Changhyun, Head of Passenger Business at Air Premia, said, “We are very pleased to take the first step in launching the Narita route to our close neighbor Japan as we enter the endemic phase. We will provide Air Premia’s distinctive service not only on medium- and long-haul routes but also on short-haul routes like Tokyo Narita, and we will continue to grow as a leading hybrid airline that offers reasonable services to more countries in the future.”
