[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dobong-gu (District Mayor Oh Eon-seok) will carry out an organizational restructuring effective January 1, 2023, to intensively and efficiently promote the core pledge projects of the 8th local government administration.
The main points of this Dobong-gu organizational restructuring are ▲establishment of the Youth Future Division, Child and Youth Division, and Reconstruction and Redevelopment Division ▲establishment of the Accompanying the Vulnerable TF Team, Single-Person Household Support Team, Job Support Team, and River Leisure Team.
The ‘Reconstruction and Redevelopment Division’ will promote redevelopment maintenance projects for regional growth and change, support for small-scale housing maintenance projects, and urban public housing complex projects.
It plans to integrate tasks spread across multiple departments to lead rapid improvements in the residential environment. It is composed of ▲Reconstruction Team ▲Redevelopment Team ▲Small-scale Maintenance Team ▲Urban Regeneration Team.
The ‘Youth Future Division’ will carry out youth policy projects to create jobs in the 4th industrial revolution, such as public institution practical youth internships, overseas internships, and recruitment of local talent interns for district-commissioned projects, as well as training metaverse creators. It consists of ▲Youth Policy Team ▲Youth Support Team ▲Youth Strategic Industry Team.
The ‘Child and Youth Division’ focuses on improving welfare services for children and youth who will be responsible for the region’s future. It plans to gradually install Seoul-style kids cafes for both children and parents and establish a Youth Support Center to continue systematic and steady youth policies. It is composed of ▲Child and Youth Friendly Team ▲Child Protection Team ▲Dream Start Team.
Meanwhile, to broadly support the diversifying socially vulnerable and quickly identify welfare blind spots, the ‘Accompanying the Vulnerable TF Team’ will be newly established. To support the steadily increasing single-person households, the ‘Single-Person Household Support Team’ will be established to promote hospital safe accompaniment services and interest support for youth rental deposits. The ‘River Leisure Team’ will also be newly established to create green spaces within river areas and reinforce convenience facilities for residents.
In addition, the existing ‘Public Relations and Computer Division’ will be reorganized into the ‘Public Relations Officer’ directly under the Deputy District Mayor, and a ‘New Media Team’ will be established to strengthen functions so that residents can quickly and accurately receive district news.

Geumcheon-gu (District Mayor Yoo Sung-hoon) has carried out personnel appointments effective January 1, 2023, appointing Park Eun-sil as Director of the Administrative Safety Bureau and Jeong Jae-geun as Director of the Council Secretariat.
