Dongseo University and Corens Sign Industry-Academic Agreement for Technology Development and Workforce Training in Eco-Friendly Mobility Sector

Representatives from Dongseo University and Corens are signing an industry-academic cooperation agreement and taking a group commemorative photo.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Dongseo University and Corens signed an industry-academic cooperation agreement on the 21st at Corens EM Conference Room to develop technology and nurture core talent in the eco-friendly future automobile sector.

From Dongseo University, President Jang Je-guk, Vice President for Academic Affairs Nam Ho-su, Director of Industry-Academic Cooperation Jeong Do-woon, Dean of the College of Software Convergence Joo Cheol-min, Director of the LINC3.0 Project Hwang Ki-hyun, Professor Jo Man-gi of the College of Biohealth Convergence, and Professor Choi Jip-yeol of the IPP-type Work-Learning Parallel Project Team participated in the event.

From Corens, Chairman Jo Yong-guk, CEOs Jo Hyung-geun, Ha Young-dae, Song Myung-geun, Vice President Kim Geon-hyeok, Director Lee Jae-seung, and Director Kim Tae-young attended the event.

The two institutions agreed to cooperate to nurture core talent in the eco-friendly future automobile sector through this agreement.

The main contents include ▲ joint development and operation of educational programs for nurturing talent in the eco-friendly future automobile sector ▲ joint research and development of future core technologies for electric and hydrogen vehicles ▲ shared use of common equipment and research facilities, and technical guidance consulting ▲ joint efforts regarding field training and on-the-job training for employees.

Additionally, they agreed to actively cooperate on other related projects recognized as necessary by both institutions.

President Jang Je-guk of Dongseo University said, “Industry-academia-research linkage is very important to nurture talent needed in the rapidly changing future industrial environment,” and added, “Through establishing an industry-academic cooperation system with the Corens Group, we expect to cultivate practical professionals with a broad understanding of the eco-friendly mobility sector and expand talent in the local community.”

Chairman Jo Yong-guk of Corens said, “As many excellent talents from the region move to the metropolitan area, local companies find it difficult to secure talent, causing a vicious cycle of delayed technology development,” and emphasized, “To improve this into a virtuous cycle, practical industry-academic cooperation is necessary so that schools and companies can achieve a win-win.”
