Kibo Selects 59 New Employees... Increasing Socially Equitable Hiring

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Kim Jong-ho, hereinafter referred to as Kibo) announced on the 22nd that it held the '2022 New Employee Induction Ceremony' at the main auditorium of its Busan headquarters. The ceremony was organized to welcome new employees selected through a competitive process with a ratio of 42 to 1.

In response to the domestic and international economic downturn following COVID-19 and to actively support the government's youth employment creation policies, Kibo hired 59 new employees. By job field, 51 were selected for technology guarantee and technology evaluation, 7 for IT, and 1 for credit management.

Additionally, to fulfill its social responsibilities as a public institution, Kibo significantly increased socially equitable recruitment by hiring 34 talents from non-metropolitan areas, 8 employment support candidates (veterans), and 1 person with disabilities. It also selected professional talents such as lawyers, patent attorneys, accountants, and technical experts.

Kibo possesses approximately 280 doctoral-level experts to enhance the professionalism of technology evaluation. This year, among about 1,400 applicants for doctoral and science and engineering fields, Kibo hired 3 doctoral-level personnel and 28 science and engineering personnel.

Kim Jong-ho, Chairman of Kibo, stated, "Going forward, Kibo will continue to be a leading public institution that creates quality jobs in line with overcoming the employment cliff caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and the government's youth employment policies."
