[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] LG Electronics is offering a differentiated customer experience by adding Viva Magenta, Pantone's 'Pantone Color of the Year 2023,' to its large home appliances for the first time.

On the 22nd, LG Electronics announced that it selected Viva Magenta as the first upgraded color for the 'DIOS Objet Collection Mood Up,' which allows users to change the refrigerator color with just a touch on the app. Viva Magenta is a red hue that balances warmth and coolness. Pantone chose this color as the Color of the Year 2023, meaning it is a bold and fearless vibrant color that evokes optimism and joy.

This color addition is part of the ongoing collaboration between LG Electronics and the Pantone Color Institute. LG Electronics is developing various colors, including LG Objet Collection colors, together with Pantone to complete interior spaces with the latest color trends.

By adding Viva Magenta to the Mood Up refrigerator, LG Electronics has increased the upper compartment color options to 23. Customers can easily add the new Viva Magenta color to their Mood Up refrigerator via the LG ThinQ app by the end of this month. Lee Hyun-wook, Executive Vice President and Head of Kitchen Solutions at LG Electronics H&A Business Division, said, “We will introduce various upgrades to provide a differentiated customer experience unique to the LG DIOS Objet Collection Mood Up refrigerator.”
