Thirty people, including heads of local agricultural organizations and promotion committee members, attended the settlement general meeting.
At the meeting, they discussed the main achievements and improvement plans of the Sacheon City Agricultural Festival, which was held for three days from October 28 to 30 at the Noeul Square in front of Sacheon City Hall.
They also approved the settlement plan for the 14th Sacheon City Agricultural Festival and the schedule and venue selection plan for the 15th Sacheon City Agricultural Festival.
The 15th Sacheon City Agricultural Festival will be held for three days from October 27 to 29, 2023, at Noeul Square in front of Sacheon City Hall.
The promotion committee evaluated the festival as a successful event, noting that the festival period was the optimal shipping time for agricultural specialties, allowing high-quality agricultural products to be sold at discounted prices, and that various lucky prizes attracted a significant increase in visitors.
They also cited the lighting of the venue with wish lanterns, fortune lanterns, and full moon sculptures, which allowed visitors to enjoy exhibitions and celebratory performances late into the evening, as another success factor.
Under the theme "The Dream of Sacheon Agriculture! United Towards the Future!", about 100,000 citizens and visitors attended the festival over the three days from the 28th to the 30th.
The agricultural and specialty products sold during the festival amounted to about 350 million KRW, promoting the excellence of Sacheon City's high-quality and delicious agricultural specialties to the visitors.
Park Jong-guk, chairman of the festival promotion committee, said, "It seems to have become a festival of harmony created together by farmers and citizens, and a festival where Sacheon agriculture can take a step forward," adding, "Based on 14 years of experience, we will strive to further develop next year's Agricultural Festival."
