65 "Bangulbangul Play Boxes" Delivered to Gokseong Ip-myeon Elementary School to Ensure Play Rights for Children in Remote Mountainous Areas and Support Play Activities

Good Neighbors-Korea Water Resources Corporation Yeong-Seomyu Station Headquarters Conduct 'Drop Drop Play Classroom'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Good Neighbors Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters (Director Bae Junyeol) announced on the 21st that it conducted the ‘Bangulbangul Play Classroom’ to guarantee the right to play for children in island and mountainous areas, together with Korea Water Resources Corporation Yeong-Seomyu Headquarters (Director Baek Inno) and Ip-myeon Elementary School (Principal Kang Mida).


Funded by the social contribution fund of Korea Water Resources Corporation Yeong-Seomyu Headquarters, the Bangulbangul Play Classroom was planned to support various play activities and guarantee the right to play for children in island and mountainous areas who face restrictions in play due to lack of content and infrastructure.


In this Bangulbangul Play Classroom, group play kits were provided to Ip-myeon Elementary School, and recreation and various games were conducted to give children time to play together.


Also, 65 Bangulbangul Play Boxes composed of various play media were delivered to ensure that children’s right to play can be guaranteed even at home.


Bae Junyeol, Director of Good Neighbors Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters, said, “We thank Korea Water Resources Corporation Yeong-Seomyu Headquarters and Ip-myeon Elementary School for cooperating so that children can play more excitedly and dream of a bright future,” adding, “We will strive to ensure that children in island and mountainous areas, who cannot enjoy various play contents due to physical and environmental constraints, can also be guaranteed a happier tomorrow.”


Kim Seonwoong, Head of Management at Korea Water Resources Corporation Yeong-Seomyu Headquarters, said, “We are glad to be able to help children in island and mountainous areas who are facing difficulties due to COVID-19 and lack of play-related infrastructure,” and added, “We will continue to pay attention and make efforts to guarantee the right to play for children in the local community.”


Kang Mida, Principal of Ip-myeon Elementary School, said, “We are grateful to participate in this meaningful program to guarantee the right to play for Ip-myeon Elementary School students,” and added, “Ip-myeon Elementary School will also do its best so that children can grow up bright and healthy in the future.”
