Geoje, Tongyeong, and Goseong SME Convergence Association Deliver Love Supplies to Goseong-gun Social Welfare Center

The Gyeongnam Geoje, Tongyeong, and Goseong Small and Medium Business Convergence Association visited the Goseong County Comprehensive Social Welfare Center branch and delivered supplies.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] The Small and Medium Business Convergence Association of Geoje, Tongyeong, and Goseong in Gyeongnam visited the Goseong-gun Comprehensive Social Welfare Center branch on the 20th and donated 100 bags of 10kg rice and 100 bags of tteokguk rice cakes (worth 4 million KRW) to be used for neighbors in need within the district.

These items were collected from some of the rice wreaths received as congratulatory gifts at the ‘1st Anniversary and Year-end Convergence Night of the Small and Medium Business Convergence Association’ held on December 7, as well as donations from 31 member organizations. The members personally visited and delivered the donations to the Geoje City, Tongyeong City, and Goseong-gun Comprehensive Social Welfare Centers.

Chairman Yoon Jin-seok said, “Although small and medium-sized enterprises are currently facing difficulties due to rising material and labor costs, 31 member companies from the three cities and counties have united their intentions to help neighbors in need,” adding, “I hope the elderly in Goseong-gun stay healthy throughout the winter.”

The donated items are planned to be used for neighbors in need within the district through the Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea.

The Small and Medium Business Convergence Association of Geoje, Tongyeong, and Goseong was founded in December 2021 and had also delivered congratulatory rice wreaths and funds at its inaugural general meeting. This year marks the second consecutive year of their support.
