[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Since 1990, Kim Jung Moon Aloe has launched a cosmetics brand called ‘CURE’ and has been selling ‘CURE Cream’ as its flagship product.


CURE Cream was first released in 1990 with the purpose of helping treat skin diseases and has been continuously upgraded since then, with over 6 million units sold cumulatively. It is very rare for a single product to maintain steady sales for 33 years.


Products derived from the original CURE Cream are labeled with a plus sign as ‘CURE+’.


Recently, Kim Jung Moon Aloe renewed CURE Cream and introduced the ‘CURE Real Aloe Signature Cream.’ This product is characterized by its focus on soothing skin troubles by blending three types of 3-year-old fresh aloe ingredients directly cultivated in clean Jeju.


The packaging design was drastically changed to use recyclable containers, transforming the product from a ‘mom’s cosmetic’ and ‘original door-to-door sales’ item into a new product tailored to young consumers’ tastes. It is sold in two forms: cream balm and stick balm, in line with industry trends and consumer needs.


The main ingredients include aloe leaf extract, which is extracted from only 0.08% of the leaves of Aloe arborescens and has proven antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant effects; aloe vera leaf juice, which helps activate collagen and increase elastin production solely with the ingredient; and aloe leaf skin oil, the key component of the protective barrier that preserves aloe’s moisture even in desert conditions.
