[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] At around 11:21 PM on the 20th, a fire broke out on the second floor of an apartment in Dong-myeon, Yangsan-si, Gyeongnam, causing three residents, including a woman in her 50s, to inhale smoke and be transported to the hospital.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters on the 21st, 29 fire trucks and ambulances and 97 firefighting personnel were dispatched following a report from an apartment resident.
Smoke from the fire flowed to the upper floors, prompting 23 residents to evacuate urgently, and 25 people were rescued from the scene by firefighters.
The fire was fully extinguished at around 11:56 PM that night, but the house was burned and household goods were destroyed, resulting in property damage estimated by the fire department at 26 million KRW.
The police and fire authorities believe the fire was caused by electrical factors and are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
