On the 16th (Friday), the model house for ‘Gangneung Gyodong Kumho Eoullim Olympic Park’ opened, attracting a huge crowd of actual buyers and investors over the first three days.
Kumho Construction announced that despite subzero temperatures, about 5,000 visitors lined up continuously during the three days after the opening of the ‘Gangneung Gyodong Kumho Eoullim Olympic Park’ model house. This is a rare turnout for a sales complex in the Gangwon region and an uncommon sight given the impact of COVID-19 and the sharp contraction of the sales market.
Visitors showed great interest in the excellent infrastructure of ‘Gangneung Gyodong Kumho Eoullim Olympic Park.’ The complex is located right in front of Olympic Park, Gangneung Sports Complex, and Gangneung Art Center, offering a pleasant residential environment with access to various sports, leisure, and cultural activities. Additionally, elementary and middle schools are within walking distance, and residents can conveniently use lifestyle facilities, medical facilities, and office facilities formed around Gyodong residential area and Ponam-dong.
Mr. Ham (40), who visited the model house, said, “I came after hearing the news about the new apartment being sold in the Gyodong living area. I really like the overall location including transportation, education, and living infrastructure. The reasonable sale price and various financial benefits also caught my attention, so I plan to apply for the subscription.”
The innovative design also stands out. The units are supplied in medium to large sizes preferred by buyers, with exclusive areas of 84㎡ and 118㎡, featuring wide layouts, ample storage space, and luxurious finishing materials. Moreover, there are no high-rise buildings around the project site, making it easy to secure sunlight and views, allowing residents to enjoy a comfortable living environment. In addition, community convenience facilities such as a senior citizens’ center, daycare center, and children’s playground will be established within the complex.
A sales official said, “As Kumho Eoullim Apartments are located in the heart of Gangneung’s Gyodong area, we strived to present the best product by offering a premium product lineup with reasonable sale prices, fixed contract deposits, and interest-free intermediate payments.” He added, “Especially, there were many actual demand visitors, and the financial benefits that reduce the financial burden for consumers in areas with high demand for new construction have combined to generate much hotter interest than expected.”
‘Gangneung Gyodong Kumho Eoullim Olympic Park,’ located in the Gyodong area of Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do, will consist of 4 buildings from 2 basement floors to 20 floors above ground, with 346 units of exclusive areas 84㎡ and 118㎡. The number of units by exclusive area is ▲84㎡A 113 units ▲84㎡B 132 units ▲118㎡ 101 units. There are 551 parking spaces, allowing 1.58 parking spaces per household.
The subscription schedule starts with special supply on December 26 (Monday), followed by first priority on the 27th (Tuesday), and second priority on the 28th (Wednesday). The announcement of winners will be on January 3, 2023 (Tuesday), and the official contract period will be held for three days from the 16th (Monday) to the 18th (Wednesday). Since Gangneung is a non-regulated area, residents of Gangwon-do and Gangneung-si aged 19 or older who have held a subscription savings account for more than six months and meet the deposit requirements for each housing type can apply for first priority subscription even if they already own a home, and resale is allowed.
Financial benefits are also provided. To reduce the financial burden on buyers, a fixed contract deposit (first payment) and 60% interest-free intermediate payments are offered. The sale price is also reasonable. The sale price for the 84㎡ exclusive area of ‘Gangneung Gyodong Kumho Eoullim Olympic Park’ is set between 420 million KRW and 480 million KRW, which is reasonable compared to surrounding market prices. In fact, the sale rights for ‘L Apartment,’ which shares the same living area, are traded between 457.39 million KRW and 565.23 million KRW, and the 13-year-old ‘L 2nd Complex Apartment’ is traded around 485 million KRW to 500 million KRW.
The move-in is scheduled for June 2025.
