Croatia and Morocco Meet Again in 3rd-4th Place Match, Starting Lineups Revealed

[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] The starting lineups for Croatia and Morocco, who both advanced to the Round of 16 from Group F and are set to face each other again in the third-place playoff, have been revealed.


Croatia and Morocco announced their starting lineups ahead of the 2022 FIFA Qatar World Cup third-place match on the 18th (Korean time) at 12:00 AM at the Khalifa International Stadium in Doha, Qatar.


Croatia will deploy a 4-2-3-1 formation. At the forefront are Mislav Or?i?, Marko Livaja, and Andrej Kramari?. The midfield consists of Mateo Kova?i?, Lovro Majer, and Luka Modri?. The defensive line is made up of Ivan Peri?i?, Jo?ko Gvardiol, Josip ?utalo, and Josip Stani?i?. Dominik Livakovi? will guard the goal.


Morocco will counter with a 4-3-3 formation. Sofiane Boufal, Youssef En-Nesyri, and Hakim Ziyech form the attacking front, while Bilal El Khannouss, Sofyan Amrabat, and Abdelhamid Sabiri take charge of the midfield. Yahia Attiyat Allah, Jawad El Yamiq, Achraf Dari, and Achraf Hakimi make up the defensive line, with Yassine Bounou protecting the goal.


Both teams, placed in Group F, advanced to the Round of 16. Morocco topped the group with 2 wins and 1 draw, while Croatia secured second place with 1 win and 2 draws. Their first match ended in a 0-0 draw.


Afterwards, Croatia defeated Japan in the Round of 16 and Brazil in the quarterfinals via penalty shootouts. They then faced Argentina in the semifinals but lost 0-3. Morocco reached the semifinals by defeating Spain and Portugal but lost 0-2 to France.
