[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Korea Minting, Security Printing & ID Card Operating Corporation (KOMSCO) has released the official commemorative medal for BTS's 10th debut anniversary.
KOMSCO announced on the 16th that the medal will be simultaneously launched domestically and internationally, and that pre-orders will officially begin.
The commemorative medals are planned to be released in two phases, and the medal released on this day is the first phase. Previously, KOMSCO had agreed with BTS's agency, HYBE, on the release of the commemorative medal.
The released commemorative medal (first phase) was designed using the BTS logo and the number ‘10’, symbolizing the 10th anniversary of their debut, to express the identity of the entire BTS group.
Additionally, it is the first commemorative medal to apply special security features, which have previously been used on currency.
The front of the commemorative medal is engraved with the BTS logo along with the group's English name ‘BTS’ and the English names of the members ▲RM ▲Jin ▲SUGA ▲j-hope ▲Jimin ▲V, JungKook.
On both sides, the debut year ‘2013’ and the 10th anniversary year ‘2023’ are inscribed, and for the first time, a mint mark featuring the number ‘10’ inside a star shape symbolizing a star was introduced.
The background of the commemorative medal is designed with a subtle pattern of the BTS logo radiating outward from the center.
The reverse side deeply expresses the number '10' commemorating BTS's 10th debut anniversary using special embossing technology, making the number shine like a mirror. Around the number '10', the BTS logo, '10th Anniversary', 'Au999 or Ag 999', and the KOMSCO hall mark are engraved.
Additionally, the background is embroidered with stars that shine eternally.
