Pohang Self-Support Enterprise 'Dreamset Logistics' Selected as Excellent Self-Support Enterprise by Ministry of Health and Welfare

Awarded 20 Million KRW Prize, Certificate and Plaque from the Minister of Health and Welfare

A representative of 'Dreamset Logistics,' selected as an excellent self-support enterprise by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, is receiving the prize money, a certificate, and a plaque in the name of the Minister of Health and Welfare, and taking a commemorative photo.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Pohang City’s Dreamset Logistics was selected as an excellent self-sufficiency enterprise on the 14th in the ‘2022 National Excellent Self-Sufficiency Enterprise Contest,’ receiving a prize of 20 million KRW, a certificate, and a plaque signed by the Minister of Health and Welfare.

In this year’s excellent self-sufficiency enterprise contest hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Self-Sufficiency Welfare Development Institute, 10 outstanding self-sufficiency enterprises were selected from 1,037 self-sufficiency enterprises nationwide.

Dreamset Logistics, which started from the Social Cooperative Gyeongbuk Pohang Regional Self-Sufficiency Center, began with five employees and currently employs 15 vulnerable people. It was selected based on its annual sales growth achievements and its performance in delivering lunchboxes to elderly people living alone in the region.

This award is a result of the self-sufficiency project aimed at employment and entrepreneurship for participating residents, making it even more meaningful as a hopeful model for vulnerable groups currently participating in the self-sufficiency project.

Kwon Daegun, director of the Gyeongbuk Pohang Regional Self-Sufficiency Center, said, “We will continue to develop various businesses with growth potential to provide continuous employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for vulnerable groups. We thank the Pohang City Welfare Policy Division for their active support and the workers who have diligently performed their duties, and we will continue to be with the lives of local residents in the new year.”
