Student from Department of Automotive Engineering at Dong-Eui University of Science, Awarded the 'Korean Society of Automotive Engineers President's Award'

Student from Department of Automotive Engineering at Dong-Eui University of Science, Awarded the 'Korean Society of Automotive Engineers President's Award' Student Cha Seong-il, recipient of the 2022 Korean Society of Automotive Engineers President Award.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Cha Seong-il, a student in the Department of Automotive Engineering at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, recently received the ‘2022 Korean Society of Automotive Engineers President’s Award’ from the Korea Society of Automotive Engineers (KSAE).


Founded in 1978, the Korea Society of Automotive Engineers is a leading academic society representing automotive engineering in Korea, playing a central role in the academic and technological development of the domestic automotive engineering industry.


The society strives for the advancement of the automotive industry by publishing English journals and Auto Journals, hosting automotive technology policy forums, and organizing student-built car competitions.


Every year, the society awards the KSAE President’s Award to promote automotive engineering majors at universities and to discover and nurture talent in related fields. This year, 20 students including Cha Seong-il were selected.


Cha Seong-il said, “I was glad to have the opportunity to gain a lot after entering the Department of Automotive Engineering at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology at a late age while working,” and added, “I would like to express my gratitude to my advisor who helped me receive the KSAE President’s Award.”


Established in 1995, the Department of Automotive Engineering at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology has produced over 5,000 professionals in the automotive field to date.


The department actively carries out various human resource development projects such as the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s ‘Future Automotive Field Workforce Training Project,’ the Ministry of Employment and Labor’s ‘Work-Study Dual System for Enrolled Students’ and ‘Cheonghaejin University Project,’ and the Busan Metropolitan City’s ‘BB21+ Eco-friendly Automotive Workforce Training Project.’
