[Asia Economy Reporter Han Yeju] LG Innotek announced on the 15th that it will set up an open booth for the first time at 'CES (International Consumer Electronics Show) 2023' and unveil a large number of new products related to electric vehicles and autonomous driving electronic components.

Until now, LG Innotek has participated in CES in a private exhibition format, inviting only customers to introduce products. This is the first time the company is participating in the exhibition with a booth open to the general public. The booth is located in the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) West Hall, the vehicle and mobility technology exhibition hall.

Under the concept of 'LG Innotek Where Innovation Starts,' LG Innotek plans to showcase new products related to electric vehicles and autonomous driving equipped with next-generation innovative technologies.

LG Innotek will unveil electronic components for autonomous vehicles, whose demand is expected to surge with the advancement of autonomous driving levels, including advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) camera modules featuring differentiated technology, in-cabin cameras and radar modules, sensor fusion solutions, LiDAR solutions, and 5G-WiFi combo modules optimized for stable vehicle-smartphone connectivity.

Electric vehicle components such as DC-DC converters and electric vehicle charging communication controllers (EVCC) will also play a significant role in this exhibition. The wireless battery management system (Wireless BMS), independently developed by LG Innotek to reduce the weight of electronic components, will be unveiled for the first time at CES.

New metaverse-related products developed based on LG Innotek’s high-performance optical technology, including 3D sensing modules essential for extended reality (XR) implementation and display assemblies, are also key highlights.

Semiconductor substrate products will be exhibited as well. Along with antenna-in-package (AiP) and radio frequency system-in-package (RF-SiP) substrates, which are recognized as essential components for 5G communication, the flip chip ball grid array (FC-BGA), which LG Innotek declared its new entry into earlier this year, will be introduced at this exhibition.

Eco-friendly energy power solutions such as solar hybrid inverters, DC-DC converters for energy storage systems (ESS), and power products for electric vehicles are also noteworthy.

Meanwhile, LG Innotek plans to open an online exhibition hall that faithfully reproduces the CES offline booth on its website in line with the opening of 'CES 2023.' QR codes have been placed throughout the booth so that visitors can immediately check detailed specifications and features of the products even on-site. LG Innotek’s strategy is to maximize the hybrid exhibition effect and enhance customer value by providing multi-content linking online and offline.

Jung Cheol-dong, CEO of LG Innotek, said, "This CES, where next-generation innovative technologies are introduced to the public for the first time, will be a great opportunity for LG Innotek to establish itself as a company that innovates customer experience."
