[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Hanwha Investment & Securities announced on the 14th that it conducted a 'Volunteer Week' from November to December to support underprivileged neighbors nationwide.

Started in 2014, Volunteer Week is a social contribution activity where Hanwha Investment & Securities employees wrap up the year by volunteering and donating funds to underprivileged neighbors.

This activity is characterized by employees autonomously selecting the underprivileged groups in need and planning the activities themselves to participate.

Hanwha Investment & Securities employees were divided into 27 groups and spent time sharing with various neighbors, including children, adolescents, multicultural families, the elderly, and people with disabilities from 38 institutions nationwide, donating a total of 54 million KRW.

Shin Choongseop, Executive Director of Hanwha Investment & Securities, stated, “Volunteer Week allows employees to proactively engage in social contribution activities by autonomously planning and directly reaching out to underprivileged groups around them,” adding, “Hanwha Investment & Securities will continue to share warmth with neighbors through various social contribution activities.”
