Kim Ryul-hee, CEO of Top Planners, a PCO (Professional Convention Organizer), received the Seoul Mayor's Commendation in the MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Conference, Exhibition) public-private cooperation category at the 2022 SMA (Seoul MICE Alliance) Annual General Meeting.
Top Planners, established in November 2018 as a professional international conference planning company, quickly shifted its operational direction to digital events amid the unpredictable COVID-19 situation, designing various content for non-face-to-face events to facilitate communication between organizers and participants. In 2022, Kim also served as the head of the PCO division of SMA and as a member of the Seoul MICE Industry Promotion Committee, actively conveying the practical voices of the PCO industry to institutions and working to strengthen communication and networking among SMA members.
Recently, the PCO industry has been reflecting on sustainable directions for companies amid the COVID-19 pandemic, seeking solutions to overcome difficulties through various methods such as developing digital applications and eco-friendly MICE content. In response, Top Planners has continuously attempted to foster international conferences by directly participating in planning and funding. As a result, in August, they signed a five-year MOU with the International ESG Association and successfully hosted a global ESG forum. This forum was selected for the S-BIC (Seoul Based International Conference) project, which aims to develop it into a representative international event of Seoul, and will receive ongoing support from the Seoul Metropolitan Government moving forward.
