Gurye-gun Conducts Safety Inspections at Senior Centers Ahead of Winter Season

[Gurye=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Miseok] Gurye-gun, Jeonnam announced that it will conduct safety inspections targeting senior centers and home long-term care institutions as the winter season begins in earnest.

County Governor Kim Soon-ho held a policy discussion meeting with department heads on the 12th and instructed thorough safety inspections due to the increased number of users at senior centers and other facilities.

At the meeting, Governor Kim directed the implementation of winter safety management measures targeting senior centers and home long-term care institutions, and emphasized meticulous county administration activities such as supporting winter training camps, and thoroughly devising meal plans for senior centers during the winter season.

A Gurye-gun official stated, "To prevent disasters caused by fire, electricity, gas, hygiene, facilities, and natural disasters in advance and to ensure the safety of facility users, we will conduct intensive safety inspections targeting elderly-use facilities until December 30."

In this regard, the plan is to focus on inspecting facility safety and disaster response measures, the installation and operation status of firefighting equipment, and fire prevention and response systems to secure facility safety in preparation for heavy snowfall and cold waves during the winter season.
