Gyeongnam Sacheon Agricultural Technology Center is conducting training on low-carbon rice paddy water management technology dissemination.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Agricultural Technology Center in Sacheon-si, Gyeongnam, conducted a "Low-Carbon Rice Paddy Water Management Technology Dissemination Training" on the 12th for leading farmers in rice cultivation to promote low-carbon agricultural technologies.

This training was organized to promote understanding of carbon neutrality and the dissemination of low-carbon rice cultivation technologies aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the agricultural sector. Carbon neutrality is the concept of achieving a net zero emission by implementing measures to reduce, absorb, and store emitted greenhouse gases.

On this day, Professor Cho Young-son from the Smart Agriculture Department at Gyeongsang National University was invited to provide education on the concept and necessity of carbon neutrality, low-carbon rice paddy water management technologies, and other essential aspects of low-carbon agriculture.

Participants in the training said, "We learned about carbon neutrality and understood its necessity in agriculture, making it a valuable time," and added, "We will actively acquire low-carbon cultivation technologies to realize carbon zero in the agricultural sector."

Director Jeong Dae-woong stated, "Reducing greenhouse gases is essential for a safe future," and added, "We will do our best to present optimized paddy water management methods so that Sacheon-si can become an excellent model nationwide for the dissemination of low-carbon rice paddy water management technologies."
