Uiryeong-gun Professional Arts Group 'Cheonyul' Receives Minister of the Interior and Safety Award

The professional arts group "Cheonyul" in Uiryeong, Gyeongnam, is sharing the achievements of the past year and presenting future directions for the development of youth activities.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Wook] ‘Cheonyul,’ a professional arts organization in Uiryeong, Gyeongnam, received the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award at the first performance sharing meeting of the regional youth activist project jointly implemented by Samsung Life Insurance, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and the Social Solidarity Bank.

According to Cheonyul, the first group of youth organizations participating in the ‘Regional Youth Activist Support Project,’ which operates in Jongno, Seoul to address local community issues, held a sharing meeting on the 9th to share one year of achievements and explore future directions for youth activities.

At the event attended by officials from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and Samsung Life Insurance, 38 youth organization representatives shared the activities of the first group, and three organizations with outstanding achievements were awarded.

On this day, Cheonyul was honored for its efforts in solving local problems by hosting a traditional Korean music performance using Gyeongnam Uiryeong’s unique traditional cultural content in collaboration with local governments and community organizations, achieving results such as attracting tourists and creating youth employment.

CEO Song Jin-ho said, “We will strive to further blossom culture in the region and contribute to the development and transmission of Uiryeong’s culture.”
