[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Lotte Hotel announced on the 12th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the senior care platform CareDoc to develop and provide senior services.
The two companies held the signing ceremony on the 9th at Lotte Hotel Seoul, located in Sogong-dong, Seoul, attended by executives including Lee Hyoseop, Head of Planning Division at Lotte Hotel, and Park Jaebyeong, CEO of CareDoc.
As Korean society is expected to enter a super-aged society, Lotte Hotel launched a premium senior residence brand VL targeting the ‘Yold’ generation, referring to seniors who show self-directed consumption tendencies, in the first half of the year.
As the first hospitality company to enter the senior housing market, Lotte Hotel plans to focus on providing more complete premium care services through this agreement.
CareDoc, the number one platform operator in the care industry, will cooperate as a partner for Lotte Hotel’s senior housing facilities including VL to jointly develop and provide ▲resident life support services ▲individualized care solutions ▲senior health management services.
Lotte Hotel has already formed a business partnership with Lotte Healthcare to build a comprehensive senior care ecosystem focused on data-based personalized services for residents of housing facilities. The plan is to provide more advanced customized care services through high-quality data collection and customer behavior pattern analysis.
Lee, the Head of Planning Division, said, “The demand for new housing facilities suitable for the changing era of the senior generation is gradually increasing,” adding, “The senior industry data accumulated by CareDoc and its systematic care services will enhance VL’s unique competitiveness.”
