Foundation establishment preparation committee members including Jung Young-soo, CJ Global Advisor; Kim Jong-wook, CEO of Swiss Port Korea; and Sung Kyung-ryung, former Chairman of the National Balanced Development Committee, gathered in Seoul on the 8th to discuss the establishment of the ‘Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Foundation.’ Following the Seoul meeting, a Busan-Gyeongnam meeting will be held in Busan on the 14th, and a general meeting of promoters is planned for February next year to complete preparations for the foundation’s establishment, including confirmation of contributors.

The ‘Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Foundation’ is a non-profit foundation aimed at globally spreading K-entrepreneurship and contributing to the nation’s innovative growth. Jinju Mayor Cho Kyu-il stated, “We will provide administrative support for public-private cooperation in establishing the ‘Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Foundation,’” and added, “We ask the foundation to focus on fostering young venture companies through Jinju K-Entrepreneurship in the future.”

Promoters for the foundation’s establishment in the Seoul area include academic figures such as Heo Jae-young, former Chairman of the National Water Management Committee; Kim Ki-chan, Professor at Catholic University; Lee Ki-soo, former President of Korea University; and in related fields, Kwon Tae-shin, former Standing Vice Chairman of the Federation of Korean Industries; Uh Cheong-soo, Chairman of the Korea Special Sales Protection Association; Oh Joon, former UN Ambassador; Yoo Myung-hwan, Chairman of the Korea-US Alliance Foundation; and in business, Jung Young-soo, CJ Global Advisor; Kim Jong-wook, CEO of Swiss Port Korea; Kim Do-gyun, CEO of Daecheon Dyeing; Kim Dong-jin, CEO of IA; Son Gil-seung, Honorary Chairman of SK Telecom; Son Byung-hwan, CEO of NH Nonghyup Financial Group; Yoo Hae-sung, CEO of Janghan Technology; and Lee Seung-hyun, Vice Chairman of the Korea International Trade Association, among others.
