[Seoul District News] Over 90 Children Using Geumcheon-gu Local Children's Centers Showcase Performances Including Instrumental Music, Choir, and Dance

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yuseonghun) held the 10th Geumcheon-gu Regional Children's Center Joint Festival 'Kkumnarae Geumnarae' at 6 p.m. on the 8th in the main auditorium of Geumcheon-gu Office.

Regional Children's Centers are child welfare facilities that provide comprehensive welfare services such as child protection, education, and healthy play for children in the community who need after-school care.

At this event, over 90 children from 11 teams of regional children's centers took the stage to present high-quality performances to the audience, including musical instrument performances, choir, dance, and the musical 'Dancing Queen' learned at each center. Parents enjoyed a pleasant time watching the lively appearance of their children at the festival held for the first time in three years.

Geumcheon-gu supports the smooth operation of 27 regional children's centers by providing operating subsidies, heating and cooling expenses, and instructors such as Geummasem (Geumcheon Village Teachers).

Especially this year, to restore the emotional well-being of elementary-aged children and parents who were restrained due to reduced school attendance caused by COVID-19, the 'Friend, Let's Play Together' and 'Together-Hope Family Camp' projects, part of the Round and Round Connection Project, were promoted to improve the quality of care programs.

Yuseonghun, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, "Regional Children's Centers play a very important role in the community by providing comprehensive welfare services such as child protection, education, and emotional support," and added, "We will continue to support children to grow up healthy."
