[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Changwon National University held the ‘Kim Dalnim × Sumi Author Book Concert’ at the study cafe on the first floor of the library.
According to the university on the 9th, the book concert was held under the theme ‘That’s How Life Became a Book’ for enrolled students and the general public.
Author Kim Dalnim serialized ‘My Grandmother Grandfather’ on Kakao Brunch in 2017, winning the Brunch Book Project Gold Award, and wrote works such as ‘My Two People’, ‘Farewell Is Not Yet’, and ‘We Have Similar Faces’.
Author Sumi trusted her professor’s advice to “write for at least 10 years to decide whether you have talent or not,” and has written children’s play scripts, broadcast scripts, corporate promotional texts, ghostwritten autobiographies, daily newspaper columns, and essays, publishing essay collections such as ‘Ambiguous Talent’.
Kim Seonjeong, a student of the Global Business Department, said, “It was a great honor to meet the authors of my favorite books in person,” adding, “The two-hour lecture felt too short because it was so fascinating, and I hope such events are held frequently for Changwon National University students who love reading.”
Civilian Kang Juwan said, “I attended a lecture at the Changwon National University library last year as well, and I came after hearing that there would be a good lecture this year,” adding, “This year, two authors I usually like gave wonderful lectures, so I had a more fulfilling and meaningful time.”
Hwang Seokman, director of the Changwon National University library, said, “Unlike books, it was a precious opportunity to hear the living thoughts directly from the writers,” adding, “Having experienced the sea and waves called the world for over a decade, and having engaged in thinking and recording, the audience likely found it very helpful to compare with their own lives and use it as a standard for reflection.”
