Financial Products Delivered by Voice! ... HF Gongsa Improves Customer Service with Ideas from Young Employees 'A housing finance guide in my hand delivered through voice.'

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Dooyul] Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF) is producing and distributing a housing finance promotional material titled “Housing Finance Guide in My Hand Delivered by Voice,” which includes voice-conversion barcodes.


The promotional material was created to help people who have difficulty obtaining information, such as the visually impaired and multicultural families, better understand HF’s products and improve accessibility to these products.


“Housing Finance Guide in My Hand Delivered by Voice” contains a VoiceEye code, which can be scanned with a dedicated app to convert the printed text into voice. When linked with the Google app, it can also be translated into more than 50 languages.


HF plans to further enhance accessibility to housing finance for those who have difficulty acquiring information by embedding voice-conversion codes into product brochures, product manuals, and contracts, placing them at branch offices, and posting them on the corporation’s website.


This promotional material policy is the result of a direct proposal from the Youth Board, composed of 16 young employees.


The Youth Board is an internal meeting body where young employees serve as youth directors to innovate work processes and foster an open organizational culture. They freely discuss agenda items submitted through regular and ad hoc board meetings, collecting ideas and opinions.


HF incorporates the Youth Board’s fresh and creative ideas directly into management policies through a bottom-up decision-making process.


In 2021, based on the board’s ideas, HF also produced and promoted the “Really Easy Housing Finance Guide for the People,” which visualizes product explanations with infographics for easier understanding.


Kim Hyunwoo, Chairperson of the HF Youth Board, said, “This outcome is the fruit of collaboration among all employees, reflecting the CEO’s management philosophy that prioritizes the public’s convenience. Going forward, the Youth Board will take the lead to ensure that young employees’ creative ideas positively impact people’s lives.”
