Exchange Selects 5 Companies Including POSCO Chemical as Excellence in Governance Report Disclosure

[Asia Economy Reporter Myung-hwan Lee] The Korea Exchange announced on the 8th that it has selected five companies listed on the KOSPI market?Orion, CJ, POSCO Chemical, LIG Nex1, and Hyundai Futurenet?as exemplary corporations for the 2022 Corporate Governance Report disclosure.

Since 2019, the Korea Exchange has been selecting and awarding listed companies that faithfully and transparently disclose their governance status in accordance with the 'Corporate Governance Report Guidelines.' Companies that clearly disclosed their overall governance and improvement plans in accordance with the guidelines, striving to enhance shareholder rights, were selected.

According to the Exchange, the mandatory submission of corporate governance reports is expected to apply to all KOSPI-listed companies by 2026.

A Korea Exchange official stated, "We plan to strengthen customized education and promotion so that companies subject to the gradually expanding mandatory disclosure can smoothly and faithfully disclose their governance reports."
