[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Duyul] The 2022 Busan International Art Festival (BIAF) is being held from the 5th to the 11th at the lobby on the first floor of the Dongmyung University Main Administration and Business Building and the Dongmyung Gallery in Busan.
The event is themed "30th Anniversary of Korea-China Diplomatic Relations? Design in the Post-Corona Era" and is divided into five sections: ▲International Invitation Exhibition (IEE) - 30th Anniversary of Korea-China Diplomatic Relations ▲International Graphics Design Competition (IGDC) ▲International Industrial Design Competition (IIDC) ▲International Kids Creative Art Competition (IKCA) ▲International Culture and Arts Forum (ICAF).
This event is hosted by the Dongmyung University Korea-China Culture and Arts Exchange Research Institute and organized by the BIAF 2022 Busan International Art Festival Organizing Committee.
Institutions such as Busan City, Busan City Council, Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, Busan International Exchange Foundation, Busan Tourism Organization, Busan Cultural Foundation, and Busan Design Organizations Federation sponsor the event.
The chairpersons of the BIAF 2022 Busan International Art Festival Organizing Committee are Jeon Ho-hwan, President of Dongmyung University in Korea, and SUN LIJUN, Vice President of Beijing Film Academy in China.
Jeon Ho-hwan, the organizing committee chairperson, said, "A total of 783 works from 39 countries, including invited works commemorating the 30th anniversary of Korea-China diplomatic relations, were submitted," adding, "I hope this event will serve as a small catalyst to revitalize the stagnant art sector."
The opening ceremony and awards ceremony will be held on the 9th at 2 p.m. in Room 106 of the Main Administration and Business Building.
