Participation in the 2022 Japan International Printing Exhibition
Konica Minolta Pro Print Solutions Korea Co., Ltd. (CEO Daisuke Naka) participated in the international printing exhibition 'IGAS2022,' held for the first time in four years, at the Tokyo Big Sight in Japan from November 24 to 28.
IGAS (International Graphic Arts Show) in Japan, one of the world's four major printing exhibitions, is an international printing exhibition presenting the latest printing technologies and trends, including prepress, commercial printing, special printing, digital printing, labels, packaging, and post-print processing. This exhibition saw the participation of 218 companies under Japan's relaxed entry conditions following the COVID-19 pandemic, and it concluded successfully with 33,078 visitors during the exhibition period.
At this exhibition, global companies leading digital printing such as Konica Minolta, Canon, Fujifilm, HP, and Ricoh showcased new solutions. It was especially an opportunity to recognize the importance of various post-processing equipment that can enhance the completion and added value of the final printed products.
Additionally, during the exhibition, Wowpress Co., Ltd. (CEO Kyunghwan Kim), a leader in the domestic commercial printing market, attracted attention by signing a purchase contract on-site for Konica Minolta's latest UV inkjet digital sheet-fed printer ‘AccurioJet KM-1e with HD’ and the digital special post-processing machine (varnish & foil) ‘AccurioShine 3600.’
What caught the attendees' attention was Konica Minolta's upcoming digital label printer, AccurioLabel 400. The AccurioLabel 400 adds white color in addition to CMYK, uses new toner and developer, and offers a wider color gamut. It maintains a printing speed of 40 meters per minute and is equipped with the new IQ-520, which uses real-time detection and feedback to prevent color or tone changes, providing a standard for color stability control and color matching.
The event included major customers and partners, providing an opportunity to experience Konica Minolta's present and future through a program that involved visiting factories of Konica Minolta customers in Japan and participating in the IGAS2022 exhibition.
Shin Seung-yeon, head of Konica Minolta's marketing department, stated, “Through this IGAS2022 tour event, we have strived to provide business insights and solutions to printing companies and partners preparing new business plans and investments, overcoming the atmosphere subdued by COVID-19. We will continue to fulfill our responsibilities as a global company leading the printing market.”
