Prime Minister Han instructed, "The Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Commissioner of the Fire Agency, the Commissioner of the National Police Agency, and the Mayor of Incheon City must mobilize all available equipment and personnel to do their utmost in extinguishing the fire and prevent any additional damage."
He added, "Take measures to ensure that there is no secondary damage to residents due to the fire, and if necessary, cooperate with local governments to carry out actions such as evacuating residents." He also ordered, "The Fire Agency Commissioner must ensure the safety of firefighters and other fire service personnel engaged in on-site activities."
At around 7:16 p.m. that day, a fire broke out at a two-story printing factory in Seoknam-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon, spreading to nearby buildings. Ten buildings, including the factory, were burned.
