Companies, Social Economy Enterprises, Hyangwoo Associations, and Citizens Wish for the Success of the Garden Expo
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] The Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo Organizing Committee (Chairman Noh Gwan-gyu) announced on the 6th that it held a ceremony for the delivery of expo admission tickets and donations, expressing hopes for the successful hosting of the 2023 Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo at the Suncheon Bay International Wetland Center.
The garden expo admission tickets were purchased by ▲ Gwangju-based company Daeguk Development Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Jun-su) for 30 million KRW ▲ Hana Interior (CEO Hwang Hwa-seong) for 5.2 million KRW. Following them, ▲ social economy company Needle Jang-i Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Mi-jung) for 3 million KRW ▲ Seonbi Cultural Arts Association (CEO Jeong Hyun-sook) for 1 million KRW ▲ Agricultural Corporation Ssangjitteul Traditional Food Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Hae-ok) for 5 million KRW ▲ Gang Won-gu from Haeryong-myeon (Shindae 10-ri village chief Han Kyung-mi’s spouse) donated 2 million KRW.
On the same day, the Busan Suncheon Hometown Association also purchased admission tickets worth 10 million KRW, with Chairman Kim Dong-su, Secretary General Ham Byeong-il, Deputy Secretary Park Sun-ho, Finance Director Song Ho-young, and Deputy Finance Director Seon Jeong-hee attending to unite their hearts for the successful hosting of the 2023 Garden Expo.
Chairman Noh Gwan-gyu (Mayor of Suncheon) said, “With about 115 days remaining until the Garden Expo, the success of the expo will be a stepping stone for Suncheon City to take a leap forward,” adding, “With the continuous support of the citizens, we will do our best to prepare without any shortcomings.”
Meanwhile, the 2023 Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo, which will be held for seven months from April to October next year, will showcase ‘Garden Stay,’ where visitors can spend a special night in the garden; ‘Earthing Path,’ which promotes contact with the earth and barefoot health; and ‘Landscape Garden,’ representing new changes in farmland.
Additionally, the expo plans to create spectacular nightscapes throughout the venue, including Suncheon Bay National Garden, Dongcheon Stream, and the River Garden connecting the downtown area.
