Citizen Satisfaction Score 90.52 Points ... 0.38 Points Increase Compared to Last Year
Residents of Uiryeong-gun, Gyeongnam, gave a "Well Done" evaluation to the civil complaint services.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Wook] Residents of Uiryeong-gun, Gyeongnam, gave a "Well Done" evaluation of the county's civil service.
The county received a score of 90.52 out of 100 in a survey conducted among residents. This is an increase of 0.38 points compared to the previous year.
Uiryeong-gun was honored as an excellent institution in the final evaluation of the "2022 National Happiness Civil Service Office" hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety on the 1st, and also received high marks in this year's civil service satisfaction survey, marking a double celebration.
The survey was conducted via telephone interviews with 504 residents who had experience using Uiryeong-gun's civil services this year. The survey items covered eight categories: identification of the service window location and staff in charge, time required for civil service processing, fairness, presence of improper requests, convenience facilities, sufficiency of information, work proficiency, and attitude and kindness of public officials.
Overall, satisfaction in all categories increased compared to last year. The sufficiency of civil service-related information and the time required for civil service processing each rose by about one point. In particular, the work proficiency of public officials, which had surprisingly increased by 2 points last year, rose again by more than 2 points this year, receiving the highest score of 90.98 points.
This good result is evaluated to be the outcome of the combination of individual public officials' willingness to develop expertise in specific fields and the county government's direction to enhance comprehensive and creative administrative capabilities.
There were also some shortcomings. Convenience facilities at the visiting institutions were rated the lowest at 84.59. Residents requested the expansion of parking lots dedicated to civil service users and the comfortable management of facilities used by civil service users, such as computers for civil service purposes.
The county intends to actively incorporate the results of this civil service satisfaction survey and redesign the civil service office into a user-centered customized space.
County Governor Oh Tae-wan said, “In line with the ambitious aspirations of the 8th elected term, which marks the beginning of change, we will strive even harder to provide administrative services through which residents can genuinely feel the changes.”
