[Asia Economy Reporter Han Ye-ju] Samsung Electronics announced on the 7th that Han Jong-hee, Vice Chairman and Head of Samsung Electronics' DX Division, and Roh Tae-moon, President of the MX Business Division, met with Nguyen Xuan Phuc, President of Vietnam.

President Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited Korea to commemorate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Vietnam. Vice Chairman Han Jong-hee and President Roh Tae-moon promoted the competitiveness of the '2030 Busan World Expo' and requested cooperation for its hosting.

Samsung Electronics, which began full-scale investment in Vietnam in 2008, currently manufactures mobile and home appliances in Bac Ninh, Thai Nguyen, and Ho Chi Minh City, and also operates R&D centers and sales corporations.

Meanwhile, President Roh Tae-moon also met with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the Hanoi government office in August to discuss major business developments and requested support for the Busan Expo. Samsung Electronics is participating in the '2030 Busan World Expo Hosting Committee' and is actively involved in hosting activities.
