This book was edited under the responsibility of Professor Kim Yong-hyun to broaden understanding and the base of North Korean studies. PhDs from various fields (Kim Jong-su, Kim Sang-beom, Park Hyung-joon, Park Hee-jin, Kim Il-han, Park Min-joo, Ha Seung-hee, Heo Jeong-pil) wrote chapters based on university lectures and research outcomes. As an introductory text, it is written to make North Korea easily understandable to anyone.
