Signing of Key Agreements and Memorandums of Understanding... Education and Personnel Exchanges Also to Be Discussed
President Yoon Suk-yeol is heading to the reviewing stand for the honor guard inspection at the official welcoming ceremony held at the Yongsan Presidential Office building with Nguyen Xuan Phuc, President of Vietnam.
[Asia Economy Reporter Bae Kyunghwan] President Yoon Suk-yeol and Nguyen Xuan Phuc, President of Vietnam, began a summit meeting on the afternoon of the 5th at the Yongsan Presidential Office.
President Phuc, the second highest-ranking official in Vietnam, visited Korea the day before to mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Vietnam this year. President Yoon welcomed President Phuc at the Yongsan office around 3 p.m. that day.
The two leaders are scheduled to proceed with an official welcoming ceremony, a small-group meeting, the summit meeting, signing of agreements and memorandums of understanding (MOU), and an official press announcement. Through the summit, President Yoon and President Phuc plan to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in politics, security, economy, development, education and human exchange, as well as major regional and international issues.
