[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] GS Engineering & Construction announced on the 5th that its top executives, during their visit to Korea, held a meeting with Nguyen Xuan Phuc, President of Vietnam, to discuss mutual cooperation plans for their business in Vietnam.
Attendees included Vice Chairman Lim Byung-yong, Senior Advisor Heo Myung-soo, President of the New Business Division Heo Yun-hong, and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Kim Tae-jin.
During the meeting, GS Engineering & Construction requested the Vietnamese central government's interest and support for its ongoing projects and future new businesses in Vietnam. President Phuc expressed government-level interest and requested continued investment in GS Engineering & Construction's projects in Vietnam.
GS Engineering & Construction is currently operating in Vietnam, participating in the construction of industrial infrastructure such as manufacturing facilities for construction materials, roads, railways, bridges, housing and new towns, and environmental water treatment facilities.
