Applications Open from the 5th for Tenant Small Business Owners with Annual Sales Under 100 Million KRW in 2021
Support for Card Sales Fees Equivalent to 0.5%, Up to a Maximum of 300,000 KRW
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju City is taking steps to stabilize the management of small business owners struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and economic recession.
On the 5th, Buk-gu announced that it will officially implement the "Small Business Card Fee Support Project," the first of its kind in Gwangju.
This project, with a total budget of 300 million KRW, was established to alleviate the burden of card fees on small business owners caused by the increase in non-face-to-face transactions and card payments.
The support targets small business owners leasing premises within Buk-gu with an annual sales revenue of 100 million KRW or less as of 2021, providing support for card fees equivalent to 0.5% of their 2021 card sales, up to a maximum of 300,000 KRW.
Small business owners wishing to apply should prepare relevant documents such as business registration certificates and lease contracts, and apply by visiting Buk-gu Office or the local administrative welfare center where their business is located, or by fax or email. Detailed information can be found on the Buk-gu Office website.
The support funds will be paid sequentially within one month from the application date after reviewing eligibility based on sales and other criteria.
Director Moon said, "I hope this card fee support project will provide some help to small business owners during these difficult times," and added, "We will continue to discover various new projects that offer practical assistance to small business owners."
Meanwhile, Buk-gu has designated the "Livelihood Economy Recovery Mutual Growth Fund" as the first approval of the 8th elected administration, a customized support project for small business owners throughout their business cycle, and is actively working to stabilize small business management through initiatives such as "Store of the Month" and "Small Business Hope Dream Inclusive Finance Support."
