[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Global aesthetic medical device company Lutronic announced on the 5th that it received the '100 Million Dollar Export Tower' award at the '59th Trade Day Ceremony' held at COEX in Seoul. The Trade Day Ceremony, hosted by the Korea International Trade Association and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, honors contributors to export expansion and qualitative advancement, overseas market development, and job creation.
The Export Tower is awarded to companies that achieve export performance exceeding the designated export tower unit during the relevant period (July 1, 2021 ? June 30, 2022). Lutronic was honored for surpassing 100 million dollars in exports based on its Korean headquarters during this period. Lutronic previously received the 10 million dollar tower in 2008, the 20 million dollar tower in 2012, and the 30 million dollar tower in 2014.
Founded in 1997, Lutronic is a beauty medical device company producing products utilizing various energy sources such as lasers, RF, and LED. Its representative products include Derma V, Hollywood Spectra, Clarity II, and Ultra. Last year, it achieved record-high consolidated sales of 173.6 billion KRW and operating profit of 29.8 billion KRW. Notably, 83% of its sales are generated overseas, with the headquarters and overseas subsidiaries actively collaborating to target foreign markets.
Hwang Hae-ryeong, CEO of Lutronic, said, "We first received the 1 million dollar export tower in 2003, and it is a meaningful moment to receive the 100 million dollar export tower after 19 years.
