Daewoo E&C Wins Reconstruction Contract for Gildong Samik Park... Urban Renewal Surpasses 5 Trillion KRW

[Asia Economy Reporter Noh Kyung-jo] Daewoo E&C has surpassed 5 trillion KRW in orders in the urban maintenance sector this year by being selected as the construction company for the reconstruction project of Samik Park Apartment in Gil-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul. This breaks last year's record of 3.8993 trillion KRW, the highest order record.

According to Daewoo E&C on the 5th, the Samik Park Reconstruction Association held an extraordinary general meeting on the 3rd and finally selected Daewoo E&C as the construction company. The project involves building 14 apartment buildings from 3 basement floors to 35 above-ground floors, totaling 1,501 households, along with ancillary welfare facilities, with a contract amount of 474.6 billion KRW. Through this order, Daewoo E&C achieved a cumulative order amount of 5.2763 trillion KRW this year.

Daewoo E&C proposed the complex name as 'Summit Dieu FORET' by applying its high-end brand 'Summit' for the first time in Gangdong-gu. Dieu FORET is a compound word from the French Dieu (God/Idol) + FORET (Forest). The design was entrusted to the world-renowned architectural design group Jerde, and five themed gardens, including the Forest Family Park within the complex, will be created. The first 35-floor sky community facility in Gangdong-gu will also be applied.
