[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The National Gwangju Science Museum announced on the 4th that it conducted a kimchi-making volunteer service on the 2nd to support vulnerable groups during the winter season.
Employees from various participating organizations gathered at the Mudeung Comprehensive Social Welfare Center to make kimchi using 600 kg of napa cabbage. The prepared kimchi was then packaged in 5 kg portions and personally delivered to 120 vulnerable households, including low-income disabled families and elderly living alone.
Kim Sang-woo, a researcher at the Gwangju Science Museum, stated, “Everyone is struggling due to recent price increases, but I understand that the difficulties are especially severe for vulnerable groups. We hope this volunteer service helps local residents have a somewhat warmer winter.”
