37 Second-Year Students Reflect on Pride and Responsibility as Prospective Nurses
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Department of Nursing, College of Life Sciences at Gyeongsang National University announced on the 4th that it held the "10th Nightingale Oath Ceremony" in the main auditorium on the 2nd floor of the Chilam Campus headquarters.
The Nightingale Oath Ceremony held on the 2nd was organized to allow nursing students to pledge to practice the fundamental spirit of nursing and the educational philosophy of Gyeongsang National University with pride and responsibility as prospective nurses before starting clinical practice.
The 37 second-year students who took the Nightingale Oath will begin clinical practice next spring at hospitals in Jinju, including Gyeongsang National University Hospital, as well as public health centers.
President Kwon Soon-ki said, "I hope you grow into members of society with warm empathy," and added, "I ask you to empathize with patients' pain and our neighbors, especially the vulnerable in society, and contribute to healthily restoring our increasingly dry community day by day."
