Jindo-gun Wins 'Best Award' for SNS YouTube Basic Local Government

Awarded for 3 Consecutive Years Since 2020... Praised for Innovative Content

[Jindo=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Namjoong] Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do recently received the grand prize for the Basic Local Government category in the ‘8th SNS of the Year YouTube Division’.

This award marks the third consecutive year winning in the same category since 2020.

Following the consecutive grand prize wins in the Public Sector at the ‘2022 Korea SNS Awards’ last October, they achieved a double crown.

The SNS of the Year is the largest social media awards event in Korea, held since 2015 to evaluate media usage status and promote a healthy SNS culture.

It is sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Influencer Industry Association, and hosted by the Korea Social Content Promotion Association.

It is the most prestigious SNS-related award in Korea, given to companies and public institutions that actively communicate with citizens or customers, organized by the Korea Social Content Promotion Association.

The Jindo-gun YouTube channel ‘Eoseoogae Naljombogae’ introduces major agricultural, marine, and specialty products as well as tourist attractions, and is known for producing fresh and entertaining content while communicating with tourists and residents.

With 8,569 subscribers, the channel produces and broadcasts videos on agricultural and marine specialty products, sights, food, and entertainment according to timing, themes, and fields.

Oh Gwiseok, head of the Public Relations Team at Jindo-gun Planning and Budget Department, said, “As SNS channels through online platforms have become a new culture, Jindo-gun will actively communicate with residents and tourists by creating various SNS content including YouTube.”
