[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, who had escalated his offensive by declaring he would not hesitate to go to war over conflicts with Apple, suddenly declared a truce just two days later.

On the 30th (local time), Musk visited Apple's headquarters and met with CEO Tim Cook, then tweeted that they had "cleared up misunderstandings." Attention is focused on whether the conflict between the two sides, which had escalated due to Twitter's potential removal from Apple's App Store and Apple's suspension of Twitter ads, can be eased.

In his tweet, Musk wrote, "It was a good conversation. Above all, we cleared up the misunderstanding about the possibility of Twitter being removed from the App Store," adding, "Tim made it clear that Apple has never considered doing that."

Musk also posted a short video showing the pond at the center of Apple Park, Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California, saying, "Thanks to Tim Cook for introducing Apple's beautiful headquarters."

The shadows of two men, presumed to be Musk and Cook, were briefly reflected on the surface of the pond shown in the video.

CNBC, a U.S. business news outlet, evaluated Musk's tweet as a signal to halt the offensive escalation that had been ongoing since two days ago, when Apple threatened to remove the Twitter app from its App Store and Musk posted a bombshell tweet targeting Apple.

On the 28th of last month, Musk wrote, "Apple has mostly stopped advertising on Twitter. Do they dislike freedom of expression?" and added, "Apple also threatened to remove Twitter from the App Store but has not explained the reason."

He also posted a meme containing the message that he would choose to go to war rather than pay the 30% commission of the Apple App Store.
