Busan Ocean Middle School Donates All Proceeds from School Character Merchandise Sales ... Students Directly Produced and Sold

Ocean Middle School donated all proceeds from the sale of school character merchandise to Good Neighbors.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Ocean Middle School in Gangseo-gu, Busan donated 610,100 won, the proceeds from the school character contest held on November 24, to the Good Neighbors Busan Ulsan Gyeongnam Headquarters.

From June to October this year, the school operated a 'School Character Contest' for all students to foster newly established school pride and a sense of community.

The contest was open to all students, and through an online student vote, four excellent works including the grand prize winner 'Deuli' were selected.

Subsequently, a total of nine types of products (ballpoint pens, memo pads, keychains, calendars, etc.) using these excellent works were produced and sold to students and staff.

Kim Oksuk, principal of Ocean Middle School, said, "This activity became an opportunity for the school and local community to unite and for students to cultivate a character of sharing and consideration."
