‘Raise the Warmth of Hopeful Love!’ … Yeongyang-gun Launches Hope 2023 Sharing Campaign Yeongyang-gun launches the Hope 2023 Sharing Campaign under the slogan "Sharing Together, Sustainable Yeongyang."

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, will carry out the ‘Hope 2023 Sharing Campaign’ from the 1st of this month until January 31st of next year.

From December 1st to January 31st, 2023 (62 days), Yeongyang-gun will install a Love Temperature Tower in the county office lobby and conduct the ‘Hope 2023 Sharing Campaign’ under the slogan ‘Sharing Together, Sustainable Yeongyang’.

The campaign is hosted by the Gyeongbuk Social Welfare Community Chest and sponsored by Yeongyang-gun. It aims to raise funds to help neighbors in need during the year-end and New Year period and to foster and spread a voluntary donation culture through the participation of all residents.

Donations are accepted at each eup/myeon administrative welfare center, the county office’s Resident Welfare Division, the Gyeongbuk Social Welfare Community Chest, media outlets, and others. Funds raised in our region will be used as resources for various welfare projects necessary to provide welfare services such as emergency support for households in crisis and support for social welfare facilities.

County Governor Oh Do-chang said, “Although the economy is sluggish and the situation is difficult both internally and externally due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, I ask for the interest and participation of all residents so that neighbors who are more vulnerable than us can spend a warmer winter, even if just a little.”

Last year, Yeongyang-gun raised 174 million KRW in the ‘Hope 2022 Sharing Campaign’ and, together with the Gyeongbuk Social Welfare Community Chest, supported emergency living expenses and medical costs for households in crisis, holiday consolation funds for low-income families, and supplies for social welfare facilities.
